Ground School Courses
All for PPL/LAPL. These are usually conducted in the evenings and are an opportunity to meet other members.

For each course there is a nominal charge of £10 per person per session. All exams can be sat at the club and these incur a charge of £20 per exam, except R/T which incurs an additional £120 for the practical exam.

Age and Health
There is no minimum age at which you can log your flying lessons towards the PPL course, although you must be at least 16 years old to be able to fly solo. The minimum age for the issue of a PPL is 17 years. All pilots must undergo an aviation medical (Class 2 for PPL) conducted by a local CAA authorised medical examiner. Providing you meet the EASA Part-Med medical requirements, there is no upper age limit.

Midweek Flying Lessons

Although our club days are Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, it is possible to have a flying lesson on other days of the week. Members wishing to arrange a lesson outside of club hours should refer to our online booking system for latest availability or contact one of our instructors here >
